Content creation for businesses: social media video and photo production
Your website, your social accounts and your ads all need good-looking photos and video. We plan the shoot, film and photograph it, and edit it into content you can actually use.
What content creation means here
This page is about making the content. We produce the photos and videos that go on your website, in your social posts and into your ads. That includes planning what to shoot, directing the people on camera, filming, photographing and editing.
Publishing that content month after month is a different job, and so is deciding what your business should say in the first place. Those have their own pages, and the section below explains how the three fit together so you can pick the right starting point.
Production, management or strategy: which do you need?
Most businesses need one of these three first. Here is how they differ in plain terms.
Production: making the content
Photo and video shoots that give your website, social accounts and ads something good to use. This is the creation of the assets.
Management: publishing it, month after month
Ongoing posting, captions and refinement across your accounts, so the content actually reaches people on a steady rhythm.
Strategy: deciding what to say and where
Audience, message and platform choices worked out before anyone films or posts. Useful when the direction is still unclear.
How to choose
If you need photos and video, start here. If you have content and need it published consistently, look at management. If you are not sure what to say or where, start with strategy. Many businesses combine them over time.

What a content shoot can produce

Short vertical videos
Clips that introduce your team, answer a common question or show a service in action, made for feeds and stories.
Customer testimonial clips
Short customer stories you can use on your website and in posts.
Team and owner introductions
People talking naturally about who they are and what they do.
Product and service demonstrations
Footage that shows how something works, looks or is made.
Event highlights
Cut-downs from open houses, grand openings and company events.
Portraits and lifestyle photos
Photos of your people, your space and your work for your site and profiles.
Website hero footage
Wide, polished clips and images for the top of a page.
Ad-ready clips
Short, direct versions with a clear point in the first seconds.
One shoot, many pieces
A short vertical video belongs in a feed. A longer one belongs on your website. A clip made for an ad needs a clear point in the first seconds. Planning those formats before filming means one shoot can give you several pieces to use over time.
We decide the shapes in advance: vertical, square and wide, long and short, with or without captions. That way the footage is composed to work in each, instead of being cropped awkwardly later.
Content for your website, organic social and paid ads
Organic content builds familiarity with people who already follow you. Paid creative reaches people who do not know you yet, so it has to be shorter and more direct. Website content tends to be more polished and lives longer.
We help plan and produce the video and photos for any of these uses. We do not manage ad accounts, and results depend on your offer, your audience and how the content is published.
How a content project runs
1. Goals and audience
We learn who you want to reach and what you want them to do.
2. A shoot plan
We choose the formats, the shot list and the questions, and we confirm the location and the people involved.
3. The shoot
We direct the people on camera, manage light and sound, and capture photos and video in the same visit when that is planned.
4. Editing and versions
We edit the footage and prepare the versions you need for each place it will appear.
5. Handoff
We confirm the deliverables and file formats with you in writing, before the shoot begins.
Choosing the scope
A project can be one focused shoot, such as a day of short videos and photos, or a series of shoots over time for a steady supply of new content. We scope it based on how much content you want, how many people appear on camera and where it will be used. We talk it through with you before anything is booked.
Planning tips for a better content day
Write down the questions your customers ask most often. Those make strong short videos. Pick a location that looks like your business and has good natural light, and tidy the parts that will appear on camera.
Tell your team about the shoot and ask people to wear what they would wear to meet a customer. Gather your logo files, brand colors and any product or service samples, and list the places each piece will be used. Share any permissions you need for clients or locations that appear on camera.
Who this suits
Content creation suits local service businesses, professional practices, restaurants and shops, real estate agents, fitness studios and manufacturers, among others. If your customers decide partly by seeing and hearing who you are, good content helps.
After the shoot, you might publish it yourself, or pair it with ongoing management. Planning and direction can come first when you are unsure of the message.

Common questions
Do you post the content for us?
Publishing and ongoing account work is social media management, which has its own page. This page is about producing the photos and video.
Do you run our ads?
No. We plan and produce video and photos for paid or organic use. The ad accounts stay with you or your marketing partner.
Do I need a strategy before we shoot?
Not always. If your message and audience are clear, we can start with production. If not, social media strategy is a good first step.
Can one shoot give us content for several weeks?
It can, if we plan the formats and the number of pieces in advance. We confirm the deliverables with you beforehand.
Do you do photos and video together?
Yes. We can capture both in the same visit when that is planned.
Where do you work?
Across Connecticut and New England. Tell us your location and we will confirm.
