Hotel and venue holiday decor photography in Connecticut

Holiday decor photography gives your sales, marketing and events teams a library of images they can use through the season and beyond. We photograph finished spaces before guests arrive, with attention to straight lines, true color and the details your decor team put in. Images are delivered ready for web and print.

Wide room views and architectural lines

The first images most clients need are the wide ones: lobby, ballroom, restaurant, staircase, entrance. We set the camera at a deliberate height, keep verticals straight and compose so the room’s structure and the decor support each other. Quiet corners and symmetrical views often show a space better than a crowded one.

We plan each view against the time of day, so window light and interior fixtures work together.

Tablescapes, centerpieces and the small details

Details sell the feeling of an event. We photograph place settings, glassware, centerpieces, linens, candles, ornaments, wreaths and signage, choosing angles that show texture and arrangement. If your team has set several table styles, we photograph each so your sales staff can show clients real options.

  • Table settings and place cards
  • Centerpieces and floral work
  • Trees, garlands and mantels
  • Doors, signage and entrance details

How we plan and photograph your holiday decor

Decor photography is a planned production with a shot list and a room-by-room schedule. Here is how we work with your team.

  • Before the shoot

We ask which images your team needs most: marketing, listings, event proposals or press. We list the rooms and details in priority order, agree how many views per space and who will approve them. You give us one contact and the decor completion times, and we prepare the shot list and schedule.

  • Preparing people

Since the spaces are the subject, preparation mostly means your staff. We explain where we will set up and what to leave undisturbed. If staff appear in images, we guide them calmly with simple direction and no forced poses. Guests are included only when you have arranged the releases.

  • Coordinating logistics

We confirm access routes, parking, quiet hours and whether furniture can be adjusted. We ask about permissions for tripods and lighting, who turns on fixtures and fireplaces, and which areas are in use. We also discuss a fallback sequence in case a room is not ready or a booking changes the plan.

  • On the day

We arrive at the agreed time, check the light and start with the wide views of the finished rooms. Tablescapes and details follow, while your team finishes touch-ups. If video is part of the same visit, we agree who takes each room first so the two disciplines do not interrupt each other. An additional operator can be discussed.

  • After the shoot

We explain how the gallery will be selected and edited, including color, retouching of distractions and the formats you need for web and print. We agree on review and delivery checkpoints and on how the images may be used. Where video was commissioned, the look is matched across both.

Balancing light and color in mixed lighting

Warm bulbs, string lights, window light and LED displays rarely agree on color. We balance exposures so whites stay clean and the gold or red of the decor stays true. A subtle bounce or soft flash is used only if the venue and your team allow it, and often we rely on stable available light with a tripod.

Gallery selection and how images are used

We select and edit a gallery for consistency from room to room, then deliver web-ready files and print-ready files as agreed. Staff or guests in the photos depend on releases that you arrange.

  • Website and listings

Images sized for pages, directories and booking platforms.

  • Email and social

Crops and selections suited to announcements and campaigns.

  • Print and proposals

High-resolution files for brochures and sales materials.

Common questions

How many spaces can be photographed in one visit?

It depends on the size of the property, how quickly decor is finished and how many views you want of each room. We build the shot list with you and agree the scope up front. Larger properties may be scheduled over more than one window.

Can you remove clutter or distractions?

We ask your team to tidy visible items before we photograph. In editing we can retouch small distractions such as a stray cable or a mark on a wall, as long as the changes do not misrepresent the space. We discuss the approach beforehand.

Can the images be used for advertising and listings?

Yes, usage is part of the conversation. Tell us where the images will appear, such as your website, third-party listings, print or paid placements, and we agree it in the scope. Any people shown need releases that you arrange.

How do we get a quote?

Tell us about the property, the spaces and how the images will be used. Share your goals, timing and where the content will be used so we can prepare a scoped quote.
