Hotel and venue holiday decor videography in Connecticut

A holiday decor video moves the viewer through your property the way a guest would experience it. We plan the route, the pacing and the light in advance, then shoot spaces that are finished and quiet. You receive a polished showcase for your website and channels, with shorter versions if you want them.

Pacing a walkthrough from entrance to ballroom

A good decor video has a rhythm: a wide establishing view, a slow reveal as the viewer enters, and details that reward a closer look. We map the route with you, choosing where the story begins and which spaces build to a finish, so it feels like an invitation rather than an inventory of rooms.

Length, music and on-screen text are options to agree before editing, and we can plan for different versions from the start.

Camera movement, stability and detail shots

Slow, steady movement suits architecture and decor. We combine smooth walking shots, locked-off wide views and close detail passes over ornaments, linens, candles and place settings. Each shot is planned to avoid reflections in glass and mirrors, and to keep the operator and equipment out of view.

Wide views establish scale while detail shots show care, and both are needed in the edit.

  • Entrance and lobby reveals
  • Staircases, fireplaces and mantels
  • Ballroom and banquet room views
  • Tablescape and centerpiece close-ups

How we plan and produce your decor video

A decor video is a planned production, so most of the work happens before the camera turns on. Here is how we run it.

  • Before the shoot

We ask what impression the video should leave, who will watch it and where it will run. We list the spaces in order of importance and agree on a route, the length of each version and the crew. You give us one contact and the decor completion times; we write the brief and shot list.

  • Preparing people

Our subject is the property, so we coach staff only when they appear. If a manager speaks briefly, we offer prompts instead of a script and take several relaxed takes. Staff learn where we will be walking so they can keep corridors clear. Guests appear only when you have arranged releases.

  • Coordinating logistics

We confirm elevator and loading access, quiet hours, power for lights and which fixtures can be turned on. We ask your decor team to finish rooms in the order we shoot, and whether fireplaces, candles or displays can be activated. We also settle what happens if a room is booked or decor is not finished.

  • On the day

We arrive at the agreed time, check window light and room lighting, and test frame rates against LED displays. We move through the route in order, running wide passes first and details after. If a second room is ready while we are working, an additional operator or a split schedule can be discussed with you.

  • After the shoot

We explain the planned edit, including pacing, music, color and the versions you chose. We set review and delivery checkpoints, and agree the file formats for web, social and any in-house screens. Photography from the same visit can be matched to the video’s look if you commissioned both.

Light, flicker and sound in decorated rooms

Holiday decor means string lights, LED displays, candles and chandeliers, often in mixed color temperatures. We check frame rates and settings to reduce visible flicker from LED sources, and balance window light against warm interior fixtures.

If you want ambient sound, such as a crackling fireplace or soft room music, we ask your team what can be turned on and record clean room tone. Licensed music for the edit is selected with you.

Edits and versions you can use

From the same footage we can edit a main showcase, shorter pieces for social channels and vertical cutdowns for stories, with captions if you want them. Staff or guest appearances depend on releases you arrange.

  • Showcase video

A full walkthrough for your website and booking pages.

  • Social cutdowns

Short versions built around a single room or detail.

  • Vertical edits

Framed for stories and short-form feeds.

  • Desired versions and lengths
  • Music, captions and voice preferences
  • Rules for tripods, lights and quiet hours

Common questions

Can the video include staff or guests?

It can, if the people involved agree and you arrange the releases. Many decor videos use no people at all, which keeps the focus on the space. If a manager or team member introduces the property, we prepare them with simple prompts and take a few relaxed takes.

Which spaces should we include?

Start with the places guests see first and the rooms you most want to book: the entrance, lobby, ballroom and dining areas. We can add guest rooms, courtyards or outdoor entrances if the scope allows. We help you prioritize based on where the video will run.

Do you add music and voiceover?

Both are options. We can select licensed music with you or use your own approved track, and add captions or text on screen. Voiceover is possible if you supply the script and approve the voice. These choices are agreed before editing begins.
