Corporate family days and Santa events

Corporate family days and Santa events videography and photography in Connecticut

A company family day puts parents, children and coworkers in one room, with activity stations, snacks and often a visit from Santa or a character. Legend Photo & Film covers these events across Connecticut with video and photography planned together, so parents get keepsakes and your team gets a clear picture of the day.

Video of a family day as it unfolds

Video captures what photographs cannot: the laughter at a craft table, a child running toward a bounce area, a parent kneeling to hear a small voice. We shoot the room with ambient sound so the recap sounds like the day felt, and we keep the pace light and moving.

If your company wants a short message from leadership or a few words from parents who agree to speak, we can add that as optional scope. Children appear on camera only as your organizer and their parents allow.

Photography for families and candid kids

Photography covers the stations, the snack tables and the quieter corners where candid moments happen. Family portraits at a station are quick and relaxed, so parents leave with a real photo of the day rather than a stiff pose.

  • Family portraits at activity stations
  • Candid children playing, building and decorating
  • Coworkers greeting each other’s families
  • Quick Santa-style portraits at the backdrop your organizer sets up

Questions before you decide?

Tell us about your event. Share your date, location and coverage needs so we can prepare a scoped quote.

Coordinating video and photo in a busy room

Family days have many things happening at once: a craft table, a game area, a snack line and a scheduled visit. One operator cannot be in all of them, so we talk through the schedule with your organizer and discuss additional operators when the plan needs them.

We also agree on where cameras stand so we stay clear of strollers, tables and children moving quickly through the room.

How we plan and cover your corporate family day

We work from your organizer’s plan, so families are not asked to do anything twice.

  • Before the family day

We learn the purpose of the event, the expected number of families, the venue and which moments matter most to your company. We agree on a coverage window, deliverables and crew, and prepare a scoped quote. Please name one organizer contact who can answer questions and confirm policies.

  • Preparing children and parents

We keep direction friendly and low-pressure. Shy children are never pushed to the front, and nobody is asked to pose during candid play. Parents who would like to say a few words on camera get a simple prompt rather than a script, and can decline at any point.

  • Coordinating the venue and schedule

We review the floor plan, station locations, the organizer’s schedule for any Santa or character appearance, and where the portrait backdrop will stand. We ask about flash and lighting rules, noise levels, exits, accessibility and where families will queue, so our positions do not block them.

  • On the day

We arrive for the agreed setup, check light and sound, and settle into our roles. Video follows the flow of the room while photography works the stations and the portrait line. We watch the schedule, move around children carefully and adjust if a station runs long or a line grows.

  • After the event

We explain the planned recap and gallery, how selections are made, and which formats suit your company’s sharing needs. Review and delivery checkpoints are agreed in advance, along with the usage you need, such as the company intranet, a newsletter or family downloads.

Choosing video, photo or both for your family day

Some companies want a short recap video for employees and leadership. Others want a gallery families can download and print. Many want both, with video catching the energy and photos giving each family something to keep.

Tell us who will see the results, how you plan to share them and what your company policy says about children’s images. We build the scope around that.

Planning your corporate family day coverage

Our corporate family day videography page goes deeper on ambient sound, reactions and the short recap, and our corporate family day photography page covers portraits, candids and the photo line. If a Santa or character appearance is part of your event, your organizer arranges it and shares the schedule with us, and we plan around those times.

What to send when you ask about your corporate family day

Share your date, location and coverage needs so we can prepare a scoped quote. Whatever you do not know yet, we will ask about.

  • Event date, town and venue
  • Expected number of families and children’s age range
  • Activity stations and the organizer’s schedule
  • Whether a Santa or character appearance is planned and who arranges it
  • Company policy on children’s images and parent consent
  • Where the results will be shared

Common questions

Do you provide Santa or characters?

The organizer arranges any Santa or character appearance and shares the schedule with us. We build our coverage around those times so we are in position for the arrival, the portraits and the reactions.

How do you handle children’s images and consent?

We ask your organizer about company policy and parent consent before the day, and we follow what they confirm. Children appear on camera and in galleries only within that guidance, and we can adjust how and where results are shared.

Can you photograph families at the Santa backdrop?

Yes. If your organizer sets up a backdrop, we can take quick Santa-style portraits there. Pacing the line matters, so we agree on how families are called up and how long each portrait should take.

Is coverage available outside the holiday season?

Yes. Family days happen throughout the year, in summer, spring and autumn as well as December. Share your date, location and coverage needs so we can prepare a scoped quote.
