Chamber and association holiday mixers
Chamber and association holiday mixers videography and photography in Connecticut
A holiday mixer packs a lot of members into one room for a short evening. The coverage has to keep pace: a welcome from your leadership, quick comments from members, sponsors acknowledged properly, and portraits that members actually want to share. We plan video and photography together around how your chamber or association will use the results afterward.
Video that captures the energy of the room
Mixers are about conversation, so the video should sound like one. We record the welcome remarks cleanly, gather short member comments about why they came and what the season means for their business, and keep ambient moments of introductions, handshakes and laughter that make a recap feel lived in.
The result is built for a membership audience: a brisk recap reel for your newsletter and social channels, with the speaker and sponsor moments you care about kept in.
Photography for members, sponsors and hosts
Members want a good portrait for their profile or company page, and sponsors want to see their support recognized. We set up an efficient portrait spot at a simple backdrop so members can step in and out quickly, then move through the room for candid mingling, sponsor groups and host acknowledgments.
- Member portraits at a backdrop, kept moving
- Sponsor and host groups with names confirmed
- Candid networking in a standing, crowded room
- A gallery organized so members can find and download their own images
Questions before you decide?
Tell us about your chamber or association and the evening ahead. Share your date, location and coverage needs so we can prepare a scoped quote.
Planning video and photo as one evening
A mixer rarely runs on a strict schedule, which is why the two mediums need a shared plan. We agree on when remarks happen, when the portrait line is open, and when sponsor groups are gathered, so the camera for the speech is not also the one waiting for a sponsor lineup.
One operator cannot be at a welcome and a portrait line at the same moment. If your schedule has overlapping moments, we talk through adding another operator at inquiry.
How we plan and cover your holiday mixer
A mixer moves quickly, so most of our work happens before the doors open. Here is how we organize the evening with you.
Before the mixer
We learn who the mixer is for, which sponsors and hosts need recognition, and how you will use the video and photos. We agree on the coverage window, venue, deliverables and a scoped quote, and ask for one organizer contact. You share the sponsor list and welcome plan; we handle the shooting plan.
Preparing members and speakers
We ask your speaker for a few key points, not a memorized script, and suggest one simple question for member comments. We request a list of sponsors and hosts with names and organizations in the order you want them recognized. Candid networking stays candid; nobody is asked to pose unless they step up to the backdrop.
Coordinating the venue
We talk with the venue, caterer and any DJ or host about load-in, a quiet corner for the backdrop, microphone or sound feed for the welcome, lighting and flash permissions, and traffic through a crowded room. We also plan where to stand so we are not in the path of servers or guests.
On the evening
We arrive for agreed setup, check light, sound and framing, and open the portrait spot at the time you choose. We work video and photo roles around the remarks and sponsor moments, adjust if the schedule shifts, and move quietly through a full room. If moments overlap, additional operators are discussed ahead of time.
After the mixer
We explain how the recap and gallery will be built, including selection, sound and color decisions, and which formats suit your newsletter, website and social channels. We agree on review and delivery checkpoints and any usage needs in the scope, so members and sponsors know what to expect.
Choosing video, photos or both
Some chambers mainly need a strong set of member portraits and sponsor photos. Others want a short recap and welcome remarks for their newsletter and website. Many want both, since the same evening feeds a social post, a member email and next year’s sponsor outreach.
Tell us how the material will be used and we will recommend a scope that fits, with a scoped quote prepared from your date, location and coverage needs.
Where to go next for your mixer
Our dedicated holiday mixer videography page covers welcome remarks, member comments and the recap reel in more detail. The holiday mixer photography page explains member portraits, sponsor groups and the downloadable gallery. Both are available throughout the year, so a winter social, a year-end reception or a members’ appreciation night can all be planned the same way.

Common questions
Can you cover both the welcome remarks and member portraits?
Yes, by planning the evening so the two do not collide. We agree on when remarks happen and when the portrait spot is open. If both need full attention at the same moment, we discuss additional operators at inquiry so nothing important is missed.
Do you need our member list in advance?
A list of sponsors, hosts and speakers with names and organizations is very helpful, since it lets us confirm captions accurately. A full member list is not required. Members can give their name and business at the backdrop and we can note them there.
Can the content be shared on our newsletter and social pages?
That is the usual plan. We discuss formats such as a short recap, social-sized clips and web-ready photos during planning, along with the usage you need written into the scope, so the deliverables fit where you will post them.
Do you work only around the holidays?
No. Holiday and year-end mixers are common, but we are available throughout the year for chamber and association receptions, member socials and appreciation nights. Share your date, location and coverage needs so we can prepare a scoped quote.
